Membership Information
New members are always welcome. Stop into our monthly meetings or simply send us a note. Meetings are held the first Wednesday of every month. In the summer, we meet after the completion of Wednesday night races at La Place Rendez Vous, a beautiful resort on the shores of Rainy Lake located on the north side of Fort Frances, Ontario. Our winter meetings convene at 7:30pm, rotating between US and Canadian locations; please contact one of our officers to learn this month's location.
If you're interested in membership, dues may be paid at a regular meeting or mailed to Rendezvous Yacht Club, P.O. Box 6, Fort Frances, Ontario, Canada P9A 3M5. You may pay in Canadian or US funds; the amounts are the same for both currencies. Dues for 2008 are $60 for Families and $45 for Single Membership. New members may also want to join via the NEW CREW PROGRAM.
Racing Surcharge: A racing surcharge will be assessed for 2008 and 2009 to help defray the replacement cost of the committee boat motor. Skippers who raced in 2007 or expect to race in 2008 owe an additional $40.
One of the ways our club promotes sailing is through our Community Sail program. For designated Tuesday evenings, members of the Rendezvous Yacht Club bring their sailboats to community docks located at La Place Rendez Vous, Fort Frances and Woody's Rainy Lake Resort, Ranier. Any and all volunteers are welcome to an evening of pleasant sailing. The point of this event is to promote the enjoyment of sailing in our community and to give people who don't have access to a sailboat a chance to experience something amazing! Reservations are not necessary - just show up and go sailing!
